“You sing a song that only my heart can hear”
Inspired by Oscar Wilde
We first met in February 2010 in Dubai, while we were both working for The Boston Consulting Group. We quickly realised that we had remarkably lots in common and became good friends. Our friendship deepened when we travelled together around Austria in summer 2010, attending the Salzburg Festival of classical music, which is one of our joint passions. However, it took another year and a half, until one fine evening Alex wooed Sasha with an exquisite dinner of pasta with tomato sauce. Needless to say, she couldn’t say no to such an offer! : ) The first trip together as a couple was again to the Salzburg Festival, which consequently became our annual tradition… For sure by now you understand the reason for our wedding location! The matters were slightly complicated by Sasha’s impending transfer to London. To give the relationship a chance she postponed the transfer, which is certainly among the top 5 best decisions in her life… and given time, Alex and Sasha fell deeply in love. In the end Sasha moved to London in January 2012, while Alex stayed in the Middle East for another 8 months. We travelled together to many places, including Sasha’s home town St. Petersburg, enjoying each other’s company. However, long distance relationship wasn’t easy, and Alex still remembers the night flights back to Saudi Arabia, after weekends in London. We...

Getting to Salzburg Our main wedding location Schloss Hellbrunn is only 10-15 min by car from the centre of Salzburg. So you need to get to Salzburg first. Option 1: fly directly to Salzburg Airport. If you are arriving from London, there are very convenient direct flights with Ryanair. However, Salzburg is not very well connected with other international airports, so if you come from other cities you will most likely have to fly through Frankfurt to get there. Option 2: fly to Munich, then either drive or take a train for ~1.5 hours. This is generally a very convenient option as there are hundreds of flights to Munich from all over the world. The drive or train ride are very pleasant as well. We often use this option ourselves. Option 3: fly to Vienna, take a train or drive for ~3 hours. This is probably the slowest route, but may be well-suited to those who want to combine the wedding with visiting the capital of Austria. The train ride is very comfortable. Option 4: drive or take the train from other places in Austria or Europe. If you live in Austria or nearby European countries, you will most likely already know your route. If you need any advice, please give us a call or email! Renting a car Whether you decide to rent a car or not really depends on your plans before and after the wedding. If you...
